a) Welcome
b) A Word of Praise for this church!
i) Thank you for being so faithful and responsive in your giving
ii) So many different stories are being told
iii) Story of a man and his wife on our Glendale campus named Geno and Crystal (With their permission)
(1) Just started coming at the beginning of the ''What If'' series
(a) Is this all we are going to talk about?
(b) He'd been wrestling with this whole ''church thing'' for a while
(c) Decided to stick around and listen
(d) He heard me speak about trusting God with your money.
(e) Felt guilty with the idea of putting God to the test
(2) But decided to ''risk it'' and put God to the test...
(a) He spoke to me about how his wife ''started him thinking'' by her trusting God.
(b) Only thing he could give... Money set aside for a Monday Night Football Game and dinner with his wife
(c) Decided to trust God with it and determined to give it
(d) That week he came down with Pneumonia... ended up with $200 of doctor bills.
(e) Tempted to take the money from tithing... decided not to
(f) Came to church that Sunday sick just to be sure to give his tithe.
(g) Which he did
(3) The next day
(a) Got a call from a guy at work... whom he didn't know all that well
(i) ''I've got these two tickets to the game tonight and I can't use them. Any chance you want these tickets?''
(b) On that night, through his wife's job, they had dinner provided for them.
(4) He was blown away by this
(a) It wasn't about going to the game... it was about hearing so clearly from God.
(b) Baptized last weekend
(c) Wrestled with the whole church thing
(5) At his baptism...
(a) ''Lord, I'm not a changed man... but I'm changing.''

(1) This whole giving series has caused us to give some serious consideration to updating our giving methods...
