1 John 3:11-24
In college several of us loaded up and went to see Steve Green, a Christian artist, in concert. As I was sitting in the auditorium a kid was walking behind me with a big cup of Coke. You may be wondering how I know that a kid behind me was carrying a big cup of Coke and the answer is simple, because he bumped into someone else behind me and spilled it all down my back.

1. How we react to life's various trials and difficulties really give us and other people an up close, personal and accurate demonstration of what we are like and who we are at the very depths of our being.
2. How we react to other people, how we treat people - especially those who rub us the wrong way, irritate us and hurt us whether intentional or not intentional serves as a good indicator as to the quality of life that is inside us.

1. Truth: Centered in what we know and believe about the person and work of Jesus Christ.
2. Obedience: To the commands of God. A life that demonstrates the righteous character of God.
3. Love: Not simply love for God but for other people --- especially believers. It is in our love of others and our treatment of them that we di ...
