How many of you have ever had the opportunity to watch a t-ball game. Those little guys and gals can get so confused out there on the field whether they are trying to run the bases or simply trying to run the ball down and try to get the batter out. It is hard enough just learning the game but then you throw in all the coaches hollering throw it to first, parents yelling another thing and all the while other kids are just running around. It is pandemonium. They cannot figure things out because they are getting mixed messages from every angle.

Sometimes I feel like that in life. It's hard enough just playing the game. Just like in t-ball there are messages being thrown at us from every angle, messages that make it hard for us to make sense of life. Life gets messy.

Messages that create fear.

1. I feel that fear, for many people, is at an all-time high. The world today is more chaotic, unstable and frightening than it ever has been in my lifetime.

2. The Terror cells that exist whether we are talking Boko Haram, Al Qaeda or Isis are real and legitimate threats. They enjoy creating a sense of terror and fear. They want to disrupt the lives of other people. They want to hurt, destroy and subjugate all who are different than them.
a. Threats on the Mall of America
b. Kidnapping of even more believers
c. Kidnapping of children - selling the girls and indoctrination of young boys.
3. The threat that is building in Europe with Russia.
4. The lack of leadership that exists in the world, our country included. Fear breeds where a vacuum of leadership and resolve exists.
5. The lack of economic growth
