Years ago I went to Itchnetucknee Springs to float down the river. If you have ever done that it is a lot of fun, relaxing and extremely cold. This time there was a group of foreign guests who were there. I know they were foreign guests because I did not have a clue as to what they were saying and they did not speak the native language. I am not sure where they were from, China or Japan, but they were Asian.

I don't think they knew exactly what to expect from this river and if you have ever placed your derriere in there you know exactly what I am talking about. They stood on the dock for a minute and the first guy finally threw his tube into the water and did a cannot ball into the middle of it before it had a chance to get a way and the water just washed over him and I would have given you ever penny I had if I could have understood what he said --- I am not so sure it was very nice though.

If he had been warned about how cold the water was it still would have been a shock to his system. But I have to believe a heads-up and warning would have been nice. The cold may still have been a shock to his system but his mind would have been better prepared to accept the cold truth.
