All right great to see you tonight. If you have your Bible, please turn to 2nd Corinthians chapter 7. We want to talk tonight about Two Kinds of Sorrow.

I heard a story years ago when I was at Southwestern Seminary. Roy Fish told this story. Two boys, they were brothers, one was 9 and the other was 8. And they were mischievous little boys, and they always seemed to get into trouble. They were walking one Saturday afternoon, and they were kind of walking around the neighborhood. And they came upon the church that was close to their neighborhood. And they saw a bird's nest up at the top of the wall of this church. And so the boys, being mischievous boys and kind of rambunctious boys, they said, ''Let's see if we can get a rock and hit that nest.'' And so they grabbed some rocks and they began to throw the rocks at the side of the church, hoping to hit the bird's nest that was up on the top there. Well, they didn't know, but the pastor was at the church and he was studying and he heard these rocks on the side of the building. And so he came out to see what was going on. And he saw the two boys. And he snuck up behind them. And unbeknownst to them, he came and he grabbed them by the shirt color, and he said, ''You boys, you come in here and talk to me.'' And so he brought those boys into his office, and he just stared at them for the longest time, didn't say anything. The boys were scared to death. And he said to the boys, ''Boys, I have one question for you: Where is God?'' And they didn't say anything. And then he said, again, a little louder, he said, ''Boys, I have a question for you: Where is God?'' And they didn't say anything. And he said it a third time at the top of his voice, ''Where is God?'' And there was a pregnant silence. And he told those boys, ''You go home and you think about what I asked you.''
