A GOOD PROFESSION OF FAITH
I Timothy 6:11-16

We are coming to the climax of our study of I Timothy which I have called, "Helps for Young
Believers." In the months of the summer I'll move into II Timothy and that book is going to be, "Helps
for Mature Believers." God just takes care of the matter from beginning to end.
Today I want to talk to you about making a good profession. What kind of profession have
you made and are you making as a child of God.

invitation will include several things. I will give an invitation for people to come today to receive Jesus
Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. Also, I'll give an invitation for people who are already saved
and members of churches to come and move their letter into the fellowship of First Baptist Church,
Jacksonville. I will also give an invitation for those who have been saved to come forward and make
their public profession of faith in Jesus.

of every message, every service, in our building. Why am I going to give an invitation for those who
have been saved to make their public profession of faith in the Lord. One of the reasons is because of
what Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 and following. In those verses the Lord Jesus Christ said,
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess before my father who is in
heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father who is in
heaven. So, the Lord Jesus has commanded every person who has been saved to make an open,
unashamed, public profession of faith in the Lord.
