If you have your Bible, please turn 1st Corinthians chapter 3. I'm going through 1st Corinthians on Wednesday nights. And tonight we'll be in verses 8 through 15.

How many in here have ever played the game Life? Remember the game called Life where it had a little spinner in the middle? In Monopoly you had dice, but in this thing you had this spinner. And I used to play it with my brothers and sisters quite a bit. And if you remember in the game of Life, in the early games (I think they changed it later), but in the early games when you got toward the end, there was a space where I don't care what you spun, you had to stop, called it a Day of Reckoning. You remember that, Stop: Day of Reckoning? And it was there that you had to decide if you were going on to Millionaire Acres, or the poor farm. And it was kind of your judgment day. That's what I want to talk to you about tonight is the Day of Reckoning for a child of God, judgment day for a child of God.

You know, we have so many people that are confused about, what does it look like for a Christian to die and stand before God? You know, we have all these stories and jokes about St. Peter outside the gate. You know, when you die, you stand, and you have to meet St. Peter and make sure that you can get in, because he is the keeper of the gate. There's nothing in the Bible that says anything about St. Peter being the keeper of the gate. The Lord Jesus Christ, He is the door, He said in John chapter 10. He's the door to let you in or the door to keep you out. It's all about Jesus. It's not about Peter.

We have ideas that God is like Santa Claus. He's making a list and checking it twice, going to find out who's naughty or who's nice. And that one day you're going to stand before God, and God has this great, huge, big scale, like they have in chemistry class, and God ...
