Now I have a good friend of mine. He and I played basketball together in high school. He was a lot taller than I was and a lot better than I was. And he got a scholarship. He played in junior college, and then he played for Texas Wesleyan. And he told me a story some years ago. I've never forgotten it. His team was invited to San Antonio to help conduct a coaches' clinic that was led by a guy that had just recently won the National Championship at that time, and his name was Bobby Knight. And you remember him, Bobby Knight? Bobby Knight is an intimidating guy. And everybody in basketball knew that Bobby Knight was kind of a scary fellow. And a foul-mouthed guy, but just an intimidating guy. Some don't know this, but Bobby Knight's about 6'6'' tall, so he's a big guy. He's heavy-set, kind of a husky fellow. And he's been known to be intimidating.

Well, my friend Mike said that as they were traveling to San Antonio, and they knew that they were going to do this portion of this clinic with Bobby Knight, some of the guys on his team were talking real tough. They were saying, ''You know, that guy, he's not going to intimidate me. He's not going to tell me what to do. He's not going to order me around.'' And they're in the locker room getting ready, and these guys are talking kind of tough. And Mike said as soon as Bobby Knight walked out on the court, they were like, ''Yes, sir. No, sir. Whatever you say, sir.'' And he said they melted like a piece of ice against the sun, because there was just something about it. You can talk tough until you meet up with Bobby Knight. And my friend Mike said, ''Man, he would look at you and his stare would just cut you in half.'' You'd just be like, ''Please, don ...
