If you have your Bible, please turn to 1st Corinthians chapter 15. We’re going to look at just a few verses tonight.

When I was a kid, I used to watch lots of TV. Anybody watch TV when you were a kid? Okay. Now, I’m 49 years old, so when I was a kid, we didn’t have lots of channels. We had NBC, ABC, CBS, and two UHF channels, and that was it. So you had 5 channels. And I remember on Saturdays, that’s when cartoons would come on. And you know little kids they like to watch cartoons. I hated it when my dad was home and he wanted to watch TV. It was like, “Don’t you want to watch, he Flintstones?” “No, no, I want to watch world news.” No kid wants to watch world news. And there were certain cartoons that I really liked as a little kid growing up. There were The Flintstones. We always watched that. And Johnny Quest. I always thought that was really cool.
And Scooby-Do was another one that I watched. Speed Racer was one that I watched. They even made that into a movie that bombed. And then there was a show called The Jetsons. Do you guys remember The Jetsons? Meet George Jetson; his son, Elroy; daughter, Judy; Jane, his wife. The opening of those cartoons made the whole thing. You just hear that song. And there’s something about The Jetsons as a space cartoon, they always had the same opening and the same close, and there was something to the close of the program that was very memorable. Watch the screen.

He’s on a treadmill, and it’s going too fast, and he can’t get off. There’s something about that that just sticks in your head. I always remembered that from The Jetsons. As I was putting this message together called Getting off the Performance Treadmill, I immediately thought of The Jetsons.
