Matthew 6:5-8

One of the joys of being a parent, especially when your children are small and seeing the world and experiencing life for the first time, is the sheer joy and excitement they exhibit for life, even the simple things. You bring home a new toy, game, who them a new trick or how to make a new sound or to wink or whistle the delight and wonder on their faces are priceless.

But from the minute you show them that new toy and how to play with it or some new trick or game all they want is for you to teach them how to do it like you did. 2. They had seen Jesus control the very forces of nature and calm storms and defy gravity by walking on water.
3. They had seen Jesus speak life to what was dead as He raised Lazarus.

As they saw all of these things you would think they would be asking, how do you do that?

1. Teach me how to do that water walking thing.
2. Teach me how to give sight to the blind.
3. Teach me how to keep thousands spellbound and hanging on my every word.
4. Teach me how to feed so many people so cheaply (open chain restaurants and make money for the ministry - every ministry needs money).
