Acts 19:11-41

A pastor called all the children down front during the Sunday morning service for the children’s sermon.  When the children arrived at the front and sat down the pastor smiled and said, “Today, I want to talk about frogs.  What do you think about when I say frogs?”  A beautiful, bright eyed and precocious little girl raised her hand and said, “God.”  The Pastor looked at her with a puzzled look on his face and asked, “Why did you say that?”  Her response was classic.  She said, “Because I know you didn’t call us up here in front of the whole church to talk about frogs.”

  • It was a place of great spiritual darkness.  It would have been an intimidating and difficult place to begin a new ministry.

God has not called His people to avoid the dark, difficult and intimidating places of this world.  ...
