Leadership Lessons for Today's Christian Leaders

Exodus 32
As you're turning to the Old Testament book of Exodus, chapter 32 reminds us that we are currently in a leadership vacuum across our nation! We're reminded of that vacuum daily as we watch the Presidential candidates go after one another. And to think that one of them will soon be leading our nation! That ought to help increase your prayer life!
Let me ask you a personal question: are you a leader? If I were to ask all of the leaders here today to stand, could you stand? Are you a leader?
- Perhaps you are leading a company.
- Others of you are leading a family.
- You may be leading a ministry, a small group, a church committee, a deacon body, volunteers, a staff and more.
The truth of the matter is that in one sense, we're all leaders. And to you leaders, God not only wants you leading, He wants you leading well! He is looking for leaders to empower and bless with His favor for His glory and for your good! And He wants to know, ''Will you be that kind of leader?''
I've never met a leader that didn't desire to become a better leader, a more productive leader, a stronger leader. So, what about you as a leader: Do you want to become a better leader? Are you growing and improving as a leader?
Do you know what we need? We need to find a leader to learn from that will enable us to become better leaders, more effective leaders, more productive leaders; the kind of leader whose leadership knows the favor of God! If everything does rise and fall on leadership, it's time we step up our game! Amen!
So where can we find such a leader to learn from? Well, hopefully by now you have found the 32nd chapter of Exodus, for it's here we find the kind of leader that we can learn from. Like any leader, he had his ups and downs, wins and defeats; but there is much we can learn about leadership from this man named Moses.
