The Answer is YES
Why would that be the case?
God promises to give us signs and warnings when He is about to move upon the earth
The Promise God gives us in Amos
Amos 3:7-8 (NASB)
7 Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.
8 A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?
The Sign that begins all signs!
Israel becoming a nation again and Jerusalem in the hands of the Jews.
Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and Revelation give signs of the coming of the Lord in the same order with emphasis on different aspects of each sign.
In the Gospels the context that caused Jesus to share about this was that the Apostles were commenting on the magnificence of the Temple.
The stones themselves were awe inspiring.
Even the wall was and is inspiring. (Pictures)
Herod covered the Temple in gold.
It shined in the day and gleamed by the firelight at night.
Jesus tells them the Temple will be utterly destroyed.
Not one stone will be left upon another.
The Apostles made the leap to believe that if this were to occur then that would mean the end of the World.
