Vision Premiere Dinner Message
I have been waiting for this night for 6 months…maybe longer!
I am really excited for what I am about to share with you.
I believe we have a God led Vision that will align Crossroads with God's Word and God's Will.
We are in a world that is going Crazy…
Oakland Raiders football practice was delayed on Monday for nearly two hours. One of the players, while on his way to the locker room, happened to look down and notice a suspicious-looking, unknown white powdery substance on the practice field.
Practice was immediately suspended while the Drug Enforcement Agency was called in to investigate.
After a complete field analysis, the DEA determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the goal line. Practice was resumed when the DEA agents decided that the team would not be likely to encounter the substance again.
I don't need to convince you that this world is experiencing suffering like we've not seen in a long time:
Violence and hatred are ruining lives and ruling the airwaves
Lives are being taken and families shattered in Afghanistan, France, Italy, Japan, Germany, Lebanon, Egypt as well as here in the U.S.
In times like this people are looking for an answer:
The only real answer is Jesus
That answer is found in the Church
As Bill Hybels says: ''The Local Church is the Hope of the World.''
In the midst of this chaos, we can see that we are closer than ever to the coming of the Lord
I want to tell you tonight that the Church is ripe for revival and it might be the last revival before Jesus comes again.
LET'S PRAY
A year ago our Elders, began a time of praying and fasting for Crossroads and what God wants to do here.
They also put hours of time and immense energy into clarifying our Vision…
What we will look like if we are really effective in fulfilling our Mission.
When we were done…I began to sense God ...
