We all know the good, good words can do
We know the pain that verbal abuse can cause
Yelling
Insults
Mean statements
Mocking
Gossip
Bullying
Cursing and cussing
Making you feel that you are always wrong
Making you feel like a failure
Constant undermining of your self worth
Bearing false witness
This can be spoken, written or posted on social media
Social media is the most cowardly of all because you do not have to face the person you are attacking
We know that verbal abuse can have a lasting negative impact
A new study by Florida State University researchers has found that people who were verbally abused as children grow up to be self-critical adults prone to depression and anxiety.
They are twice as likely to suffer from mood and anxiety disorders.
The effects of verbal abuse include fear, depression, intrusive memories, eating problems.
Verbal abuse has a physical effect of chronic pain, migraines, stammering, ulcers and related heart conditions.
The old saying sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me is not true.
Pam and I sitting with a Jr. High girl who was the target of a group of ''mean girls''…that targeted her.
We found out others.

Well we know it is not a game and we know that verbal abuse is too real and far too prevalent.
We all have sinned in this way and sadly for some you have lived with this on a daily basis.
