Is God fair to judge people and send them to Hell?
Someone like Hitler should go to hell.
The people in Isis should go to hell.
But what about when a teenager who was not a Christian dies in a car crash and he goes to hell?
Is that fair?
Do we deserve to go to hell?
Review:
Week 1 we saw the Gospel is the Power of God.
The Gospel is having a relationship with Jesus as Savior and Lord
Why do you need a Savior and Him as Lord?
Week 2 we need a Savior because…
Evil in Society
Last week we saw that Society is depraved and we all live in an evil world.
So if we open our eyes we can see we live in a brutal society.
Shootings happen
Terrorists were convicted who were planning to enact a mass shooting RCC …and then random shootings on the 91 freeway.

Now we see that there is Evil in ourselves
God is right to judge and condemn this evil

Charles Finney is one of my heros…
He was the leader of the Second Great Awakening
This was a time of revival in the US that brought significant change
A Huge number of people giving their lives to Christ
Out of this revival …
The anti-slavery movement took on life
Women's rights movement began
Finney's conversion story…it is a story that shows the power of Romans
Church was dull and Christianity seemed boring.
Then while studying law he got a Bible and was amazed…started studying.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
As he read the Bible he felt a growing conviction over his sin.
Then one night, he felt like he was going to die.
It was real and he knew if he died he would go to Hell
He knew he deserved Hell
Heard a voice within
What are you waiting for?
Are you trying to work out your righteousness on your own?
Then he became aware of the Jesus and what He did on the Cross!
He knew He needed a Savior
He knew He needed Jesus' righteousness
