I have always thought that was a metaphor
Ghandi: That's your problem.
Do any of you have the same problem.
Tithing is a metaphor because you do not trust God to take care of you.
You are faced with a Medical condition do you trust God to take care of you?
You have a friend or family member who is not a Christian will you GO to them and seek to share?
You have a problem with someone and Jesus clearly said to GO and have a Crucial Conversation.
You Look out for number one rather than serving and being humble because you do not think God will lift you up?
Pray
What if you really trusted God and it was not a metaphor…if you did you would have Jesus as Lord because you truly trust Him.

The Gospel is having a relationship with Jesus as Savior and Lord
Romans 1-3 we saw we need a Savior because we…
Live in an evil society
Have evil in ourselves
Know this is true when we judge and condemn others and we do the same thing we condemn
Are hypocritical
Are honest about our thought life and even our outward actions
God gave Jesus as a gracious gift that we need to accept and not try to earn.
Then we are forgiven
Then we get His righteousness
And we get forgiveness and righteousness when Jesus is truly my Savior and Lord.
No one is exempt…we all need Jesus as Savior and Lord to be right with God.
Paul is writing to an audience that would ask this question…
If we are only saved by grace through faith, what about Abraham?
Abraham was an example of someone who because of Faith completely trusted God.
Who Abraham is…and what he did …
When God said GO…he went not knowing where he was going.
He left all for the Lord
