We are in a section of Romans that is about how we can make great Decisions…
I was in a place my feelings would have caused me to make horrible decisions…
Sitting in the midst of deep depression… I was not sure what to do.
I had never felt this way before.
I cried out to God, I wanted out.
I needed Him and I needed something to rescue me…
Many have been there and maybe this is where you are now
Pray…
The answer for me was found in the life and words of Jesus
Jesus washing the Apostles feet
John 13:15-17 (NASB)
15 ''For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.
16 ''Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.
17 ''If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.
Over the years I have seen how true this is…
Blessed are you when you serve others
Blessed are you when you put others above yourself
Blessed are you when you are other minded
Other-minded people are great decision makers.
Why are they great decision makers?
1. They seek the good of others.
Romans 15:1-3 (NASB)
1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.
At Special Olympics when competitor tripped and fell.

2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ''THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME.''
Think of an everyday examples that are practical
A Church I know was once a great Church has sunk to the lowest point imaginable.
People who are long time members…still want things their way.
Cursed at the young Pastor.
Took seats up front scowling.
When he said, '' I want this to be a Church your grandchildren will come to and like…''
Said basically: ''I would rath ...
