How many of you ever played on a see-saw as a child? How many of you ever tried to walk from one end to the other without falling off? As you make your way to the middle you reach a point (Pivot point or fulcrum) where everything was centered and leveled off but as you continued the see saw began to tip.

Well today, as we continue looking at Life's Blueprints through a study of the 10 commandments we find ourselves at a pivot-point. I say that not intimating that what we look at today is more or less important than what we have looked at before or will look at in weeks to come. I am using that term to denote this is the point in our study where we start to make a shift or change and the commandment we are going to look at today serves as the pivot in this study. A pivot or hinge is a pin, shaft or a point on which something turns.

Today we move from one page of God's blueprint for life to another. There are two tablets of the law. One tablet deals with our relationship to God (will be quick to say in reality all of them ultimately deal with our relationship to God). The other tablet deals with our relationship with others.

As you read the commandments you discover there is a noticeable shift. You go from:
- God saying I am the one and only. There are no other God's. I am not simply to be the 1st or number one priority of our life but your only priority. Everything else in life should connect to and spring out of your relationship with me. I am to be the central hub of your life that holds everything together.
- God also says you are to worship me in the right way. Don't misrepresent me by worshipping me falsely.
- Don't misuse my name through empty speech or dishonor it through inconsistent living.
- Honor me with your time by keeping pace with the rhythm and flow of life that I have established. Work, Rest, Worship.
