Have you ever watched an artist painting a portrait? They stare intently at their subject as they study every detail and nuance of their face and form so they can capture their very essence and likeness. If the artist does not carefully study his subject then the result will not be an image that captures the likeness and essence of a person but a distortion. It will not be an accurate representation of that person but a gross misrepresentation…a caricature of what was intended.
- This is what has happened in our world today in the areas of (1) sexuality (2) marriage.
- We have taken our eyes of God's original design, plan and model of sexuality and marriage which we see in the creation and account and throughout Scripture, and because of that our understanding of sexuality and marriage, has become extremely distorted and is nothing more than a gross misrepresentation of what God intended.

They say the 60s and 70s brought about a sexual revolution. This revolution has not freed anyone. Instead, this revolution has served to enslave and destroy.
- This twisted view and devalued understanding of marriage and sex has damaged marriages on the front end and destroyed them on the back end doing irreparable harm to the family and ultimately to society.

One pastor said if you were to put the '10' to a vote so people could rank them in terms of popularity there is little doubt this one would make the bottom of the list and be the least popular.

We live in a culture that says and believer that what happens behind closed doors is our business and not anyone else's. We do not simply live in a sexually charged culture we live in an adulterous culture.
- We have institutionalized (made it normal) adultery/sexual immorality.
