How many of you in here are the youngest in your family? Your brothers and sisters are all older than you? How many of you had an older brother or sister that seemed to be good at everything? Sports? Academics? Helping around the house? Good with their money?

If you did chances are you found yourself constantly compared to them on occasion or quit often. I am sure you got the comments and questions like, ''______________ did this, said this, behaved like this, worked hard and applied themselves. Why can't you be more like _______?'' Frustrating wasn't it.

With today being Mother's Day we all recognize what a difficult job being a wife and mom can be. It can be very frustrating because mom's feel like their job is never done and never done right. They can get frustrated because they don't cook like____________, not creative like this __________, not as active in the schools and clubs like _____________, not as stylish or as fit as __________ or any number of things. Most moms have a mental image of what a successful mom looks like (the bible gives us a picture in Proverbs 31 and it is a pretty impressive and daunting list) and in the minds don't measure up. (Encourage your wife - encourage your mother).

Mark Twain had it right when he said, ''Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.'' That is especially true of an example you know you so not and cannot live up to.

It would be like a kid whose dad is determined that he grow up to be the next Peyton Manning - the next great QB who will set SEC and then the NFL on fire. This dad is constantly showing his son film or Peyton Manning, put a Peyton Manning mural on his wall and enrolls him in every QB camp he can possibly find. This kid loves his dad and is determined to become the next Peyton Manning. The only problem is that the kid is not built like Peyton Manning. H ...
