2 Corinthians 5:17-21
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Well of course this is our last Sunday at Valleydale and of course the end is an interesting time. This whole process has been an interesting one for us. It has truly never been so hard to leave a place but at the same time I have never been so resolved that leaving is exactly what I am supposed to do…
It has kind of caused me to reflect on my life.
And so that is where I kind of want to do that with you today as we talk about this passage. If you have been with us over the past couple of weeks we have been in a series called Direction: Understanding God's Will for Your Life, and of course the first Sunday we talked about God's will and understanding God's will and all that that means, then of course last week if you were here we talked about the will of man and how truly broken all of us are… But this week I want to talk with you about how God's will and man's will intersect. And it being our last day I hope it will be helpful for you to hear a little bit of how the perfect will of God has been intersecting with my broken will throughout my entire life. And how the Lord did this work of reconciliation in me and how he led me to the ministry of reconciliation. ...
