Proverbs 31

DESCRIPTION: Funeral service for a godly woman based on Proverbs 31.

INTRODUCTION
A man went to visit Yosemite national park but because of a mix-up in his schedule, he wound up with only one hour to spend there. He rushed over to the Ranger headquarters and said, ''I only have one hour to spend in the park, tell me what I should see.'' The park ranger said, ''If you only have one hour to spend at Yosemite then my advice is to climb up to the tallest observation point, look over the entire park and just cry because one hour is not enough time to do it justice.'' (28) Her husband praises her: 'There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all.'''

He and Judy had one of the great marriages, the kind of marriage that the rest of us admire and aspire to. He has been an upstanding member of the community and outstanding leader in the church. That's very hard to do without the love and support of your wife.

ILLUSTRATION: I like the story of the CEO who was driving with his wife when they stopped for gas. The CEO got ...
