ALL THINGS NEW
Revelation 21:1-8

We've been a good while now in our study of Revelation and we are coming to the end of the
vision which God gave to John on the Island of Patmos. In the first 3 chapters we saw visions of grace.
In chapters 4-19 visions of government. Now, in chapters 21 and 22 visions of glory. We see the
eternal state which God has prepared for those who love Him.
Just a few Saturday nights ago we all changed our time back from Eastern Daylight Time to
Eastern Standard Time. I really wish they would make up their minds and do one or the other. I always
have a difficulty knowing which way to go. I never know if I'm to put the time back or if I'm to put the
time forward. But one or two times every year we move our clock and change our time and we find
ourselves on a different standard of time. But the Bible predicts that there is going to come a day when
the last time shall have transpired. There is going to come a time when we will never have to worry
about watches anymore. There is going to be a time when time will cease to be and time won't matter
anymore. The Bible says there is going to come that time which we call the eternal state.
When you begin to think in categories of eternity it is impossible for the finite mind of man to
fully comprehend what we are talking about. We think in terms of everything having a beginning and
everything having an ending. We can think in those categories. This is the way God has constructed
our minds. But when we talk in terms of the eternal God about all we can do is just visualize and try to
comprehend what we mean. A God who always has existed. The Eternal God. Just as far back in
time as your mind is able to take you, just as far back into the distant ages and eons of time as you
intellect is able to go, the Bible says before that ...
