We are calling this series "Adventures in Spirit-
living." I hope you will attend every one of them. I
believe these studies can literally transform your
Christian life. I believe this is the great secret -
the answer to victory in the Christian life, to power
in service and to effectiveness as witnesses for the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Probably many of you have had the experience of
traveling to a strange land. That can be a very
unnerving and frightening experience. You find
yourself in a land where the language is altogether
different. You are in a place where the scenes are
unfamiliar to you. You do not know exactly how to get
where you want to get. The customs are different, the
people are different and it can be a rather unnerving

language, a guide who knows the right hotels to take
you, a guide who knows the foods for you to avoid, a
guide who can take you all of the places you need to
go and show you all of the pleasant experiences you
need to experience. So, if you are going to be in a
strange land it would be very helpful for you to have
a guide.
Suppose that this guide who is going to take you
on this journey in this strange land is not only a
guide who is an expert in that land but suppose this
guide is also your very best friend. That could make
the journey in that different land a very wonderful
and interesting one.
That's kind of the way it is in the Christian
life. There are many of you who have recently
