Introduction
1. You know the kind. We have all met them. They can just walk into a room and all of a sudden they are in a middle of a group of people. They are the focal point of conversation. They seem to communicate naturally and are at ease even with strangers. They are easily approachable. They are the type that gets plenty of business referrals and people are just drawn to them. They have what is known as a ''magnetic personality.'' They don't necessarily try to make themselves the center of attention, but they just radiate this mysterious influence and charisma that just naturally draws people to them.
2. We have been learning in the last several weeks there was something magnetic about the early church. There were certain qualities the early church had that drew an unbelieving world into its arms. We have identified three of those. The first one was ''crazy love''. Jesus said that the world would be drawn to a church where they saw the people in the church loving each other.
3. We said the second quality was ''straight talk.'' We saw how it was the preaching of God's Word - the communication of relevant life-changing truth that drew a world hungry for something different.
4. The third quality was what we called ''open hands.'' We saw that the early church had a culture of generosity. They gave what they had to meet the needs of others, both inside and outside the church. The world began to care how much the church knew when they knew how much the church cared.
5. Today, we are going to come to that last magnetic force that the church possessed and it was not only the greatest magnet of all, but it was the magnet that held all of the other magnets together and it was Jesus who was the most magnetic personality who ever lived.
