TURNING THE LIGHT ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD

Looking at this practical portion of Ephesians the Bible
admonishes believers to walk a life that is worthy of the Lord. So, in
these chapters he's been talking about our daily behavior. We've come
to the verses where we are told we are to walk as children of light.
The Bible teaches that when you receive the Lord Jesus as your Saviour
you, are translated out of death into life. You are translated from the
kingdom of the devil into the kingdom of Christ. You are also trans-
formed from darkness into light.
You will notice the Scripture says we are not merely in the
light, but we are the light. When Jesus walked on the earth, He said,
-r am the light of the world. "t Then He said to His children - believers
- "Ye are the light of the world." So, we are called light in these
verses of Scripture. And there are some responsibilities which God has
given the children of the light which emerged from these verses. For
instance, in verses 11, 12 and 13 we are told we have a responsibility
to reprove the darkness.
Verse 11 - "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of
darkness, but rather reprove them."
Go to II Corinthians 6:14 - "Be ye not unequally yoked together
with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with
unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness." So, the

Bible says believers are not to have fellowship with unbelievers. The
Bible doesn't say that you are not to have friendship with unbelievers.
The Scriptures make it very clear that we are to make friends for the
Lord Jesus Christ. If believers never get around lost people, how you
going to win lost people to the Lord.
So, the Bible teaches we are to make friends for Jesus Christ,
but it also says we are not to have fellowship with them.
The word, fellowship, is the Greek word, kornanea, which means
to have in common - to share a common interest together. It's real ...
