I KNOW A SECRET!

Life has its mysteries. There are things that come along in
life that we do not understand, that we cannot comprehend. There are
some things which God has not chosen to reveal to us. There is a verse
of Scripture I want to just drop in your mind and hear at the beginning
which will help you all the rest of your days in dealing with some of
the mysteries of life.
Go back to Deuteronomy 29:29 - "The secret things belong unto
the Lord our God. But those things which are revealed belong unto us
and to our children forever that we may do all the words of this law."
There are some things that are secret things unto the Lord. God
has not chosen to let us in on those secret things. The verse also says
there things that are revealed that God has chosen to share with us and
that these belong unto us and our children for the purpose that we might
do all the words of this law. So, when there are things that you do not
understand, you wait for revelation. If God revealed those things unto
you then they are for you. If God does not choose to reveal them then
just keep in mind that those secret things belong unto the Lord. It's
wonderful to know that God has given us the New Testament. In the New
Testament God has revealed to us a number of the special secrets of His
heart. There are some things God has chosen to reveal unto us.
In the New Testament the word, mystery, is used several times.

When you see the word, mystery, in the New Testament, don't get the idea
that he is talking about what you and I normally think about as a
mystery. I love mystery books. When I was a kid I used to read all of
the mystery novels. I was the curious type and would always go to the
end of the book and see who done it. Then as I read the book, all along
the way, I'd say "oh, yea, you rascal you, I know you done it. I've
read the end of the book." I love mysteries. But when you think in the
New Testament about a mystery ...
