LIVING ON THE EDGE OF ETERNITY
I Peter 4:7-11
Now today in verses seven through eleven the theme of the message
is "Living on the edge of Eternity". Living on the edge of eternity.
That is what Simon Peter is talking about in these verses. So I want
to read it to you and you will keep your bible open and we will look
back at these verses and move through the study together. Praying that
God will speak to our hearts with his precious word this morning.
"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and
watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent love among your-
selves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality
one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the
gift, even so minister the same one to another as good stewards of
the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the
oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability
which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus
Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
Where you live and when you live has a great deal to do with how
you live. If you were living today or had been living somewhere near
the volcano Mt. St. Helens in Washington. It would have a great deal

to do with how you live. If you lived on the edge of that volcano it
would affect your daily life. And if you were living in a time when
fire was shooting several miles in the air, rocks were going every-
where and lava was getting ready to flow. It would really affect
the way you live. So where you live and when you live has a great
deal to do with how you live.
Now some people are living on the edge of danger and they never
really understand it. A few months ago now there were some folks who
were living in Florida. And they were unaware of the fact that they
were very near to sink holes. And one day they walked out and their
car had disappeared into a great hole. They were living on the ed ...
