THE WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT
Rev. 20:11-15
Dr. Vines 11/10/85
We have come to what I consider to be the most awesome scene in all of
the Bible. We have come to a passage of Scripture that can bring sobriety to
the most frivolous heart. It is a very solemn, a very serious scene when God
paints the picture of that great final judgment day. According to the book of
Revelation we will come to the Great White Throne Judgment at the conclusion
of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will rule and reign on
the earth for a thousand years. The Bible then says that the devil will be
cast into the lake of fire and then there will transpire the Great White
Throne Judgment. All through the Bible we are taught the existence or the
truth that there is going to be a day of judgment.
Hebrews 9:27 -
"It is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the
judgment."
Eccl. 12:14 -
"For God shall bring every work into judgment with every
secret thing whether it be good or whether it be bad.
Matt. 10:15 -
"It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and
Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city."
II Pet 2:9 -
"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of
temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of
judgment to be punished."

judgment. Many a man has come to the last moments of his life. He has come to
the time when he realizes this life is concluded, eternity will begin and the
only thing he can say is, "Oh, God." He knows in that moment he is going to
have to face the living God.
I remember hearing R. G. Lee, that great preacher from Memphis, preach
2
years ago. How that man could preach. What pictures he could ...
