Beatitudes for friends of the aged
Source unknown
Blessed are they who understand Blessed are they who know that my ears today Blessed are they who seem to know Blessed are they who looked away Blessed are they with a cheery smile Blessed are they who never say, Blessed are they who know the ways Blessed are they who make it known Blessed are they who know I'm at a loss Blessed are they who ease the days - Esther Mary Walker
My faltering step and palsied hand.
Must strain to catch the things they say.
That my eyes are dim and my wits are slow.
When coffee spilled at table today.
Who stop to chat for a little while.
"You've told that story twice today."
To bring back memories of yesterdays.
That I'm loved, respected and not alone.
To find the strength to carry the Cross.
