Dr. Jeffery Ginn began serving as Senior Pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church on August 6, 2000. He is married to an absolute gem, Nell Nichols Ginn. God has blessed their home with three children: Anna, Jordan, and Zachary.

Prior to his ministry at MPBC, he served as the Director of the Northeast Campus of Mid-America Theological Seminary in Schenectady, NY (1997-2000). Before that, he and his family served as missionaries to Colombia, South America with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention (1990-1997). His roles as a missionary included serving as a church planter and as a professor on the faculty of the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Cali, Colombia.

His pastoral experience includes time serving as Pastor at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ashland, MS and as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of West Memphis, AR and First Baptist Church of Ripley, MS.

He has also served as an instructor for several seminaries, including Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his family and ministry, Pastor Jeff enjoys sports of all types, especially golf and basketball. His enthusiasm for sports is undergoing a shift—from playing to watching! He also revels in God’s gift of music and, once upon a time, tried his hand at playing the guitar, bass, and piano.
