A little about me: God saved me from a life of sin at the age of 19 while in college. Since then he has transformed my life and given me a passion to communicate God’s Word. I delivered my first sermon a few months after coming to know Jesus (I still cringe when I think about that first sermon!) and have spoken in churches hundreds of times since.
I believe the Bible is incredibly relevant so nearly all of my sermons are expository in nature. I’ve very cognizant of the fact that any power borne out of the preaching event comes from the text of Scripture, not my ability at persuasion. I’m also passionate about theology and so I frequently unpack the life-changing doctrine that so often saturates the text.
I absolutely love my job as one of the teaching pastors at Wellsboro Bible Church, which has grown rapidly in the last several years. In our rural town of 3000, our church sees about 300 people every Sunday as we endeavor to reach every man, woman, and child in our zip code with the Gospel. Having outgrown our 100 year old building, we recently decided to go portable and will be moving our church this Easter to our local high school auditorium, where there is even greater potential for Gospel impact in our small community.
I’m married to my sweet wife Rachel and have three young children. I enjoy reading, competing in Brazilian Jiu jitsu, and spending time with my family.
