Central Christina Church of Arizona is committed to leading people to discover and fully own faith in Jesus. They do this through passionately pursuing Jesus, helping the found find the lost, serve the church utilizing the gifts God has given them, growing through active participation in a life group, gathering weekly for corporate worship, and giving to the work of building God’s kingdom. The teachings found here are Christ-centered, God-glorifying, and Bible-focused.
Cal Jernigan has served on the staff of Central Christian Church of Arizona since 1987, and has been the Senior Pastor since the beginning of 1999. Central is currently meeting on five different campuses and now averages 10,000 people each weekend. From his roots in youth ministry, Cal leads with a passion for communicating the Word of God in a relevant, timely and engaging manner. His greatest desire is to help people understand there is a God who cares deeply for them and wants to connect with them personally. Cal has been married to his wife Lisa for 38 years and they have two grown children who are both in the ministry, and six grandchildren.
Jeremy serves as the Executive Pastor of Creative Arts and Student Ministry at Central Christian Church in Arizona. He’s a second-generation preacher with a passion for discovering and communicating truth. Jeremy graduated from Hope International University and is currently working on his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Seminary.
Jeremy has been married to Michelle for more than a decade and they have four kids named Gavin, Madsen, Adelyn, and Aiden. He’s a voracious reader and has a borderline obsession for the Yankees (each of his kids have a middle name from a Yankee player). This is an indication of his level of commitment as a fan, and how amazing his wife is!
